St. Jude has dramatically increased childhood cancer survival rates in the U.S. from 20% in 1962 to over 80% today, including a 94% survival rate for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), up from just 4% at the hospital’s founding. They treat more than 90 diseases, from cancers to blood disorders, ensuring no child is turned away based on race, religion, or ability to pay. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus entirely on their child’s recovery.
